據(jù)悉，國際關系專業(yè)是近幾年英國留學申請中越來越熱門的一個專業(yè)，屬于政治學的一個分支。
國際關系，顧名思義是指對國家之間政治、外交關系的研究，還包括對國家之間的文化、經(jīng)濟關系研究。當然，最重要的方向還是政治的研究。
國際關系學主要是指研究國際關系行為體之間相互作用，各種國際體系運行和演變規(guī)律的一門科學或?qū)W問。
國際關系專業(yè)需學生研究國際社會之間的外交事物和關系，一般要求申請人有相關專業(yè)背景，不過，若學生本科專業(yè)與國際關系課程有相疊部分，也可作為具有相關背景的參考。
國際關系專業(yè)就業(yè)前景：由于所學覆蓋面很廣，因此，讀國際關系學出身的學生能夠掌握比較綜合的知識而不像是一些語言專業(yè)只有單一的語言技能，相應的也就可以適應許多行業(yè)的工作，比如外事接待，行政管理等。
此方面比較好的英國大學有：倫敦大學國王學院、倫敦政治經(jīng)濟學院，杜倫大學等。
